Faith’s Candle Glows

Sometimes I feel my faith begin to waver as a flickering flame against the blowing wind

Yet by its light through darkness I find comfort against the pathway that I will soon ascend

And as I walk the road that’s set before me preordained since I dwelt in the womb

I dare not think that I am lost or weary but keep my mind on springtime’s lovely bloom

For sweet remembrance lends aid to those who climb a dark-faced mountain in a lonely land

During the hours of my soul’s desperation faith’s candle glows within my trembling hand
