The Lesson of Acceptance

Without consideration, we cannot touch a man.

With no consideration, we cannot understand

the way he lives his life or walks upon this earth,

how he was taught, how he was brought to us since day of birth.

So you see my brother, we must consider race,

we must know his religion and how his thoughts are based

in order to respect him and call him fellow man,

in order to reach out to him with humble hearts and hands.

As multi-colored differences make the trees so bright,

the varied ways of others make friendships a delight.

And through our exploration, we come to understand

the lesson of acceptance makes each a better man.
