I Lie Abandoned

I lie abandoned in a house of promise

its windows pelted by falling tears

Your crying melts my heart with feeling

the cold forsaken lonely years

Ravage me with pain and anguish

yet once again you lonely soul

Your lying eyes have come to taunt

pick at my bones and eat me whole

The gaping wound that is my heart

you reach right in and soon devour

I was betrayed by obscure visions

as you arrived the haunting hour
