Iniquity

What will give life to the wounded

Who will erase all the pain

Of the forgotten the lost and the weary

As their suffering mounts once again

The hands of destruction are structured

To label their foreheads in vain

Those without blinders are walking

In circles with handfuls of shame

I pledge my allegiance to earth

As she trembles for fear of her death

My sorrow instilled by the value

Of each indiscriminate breath

Held tight in the horror of conflict

Incited by those who march on

To the beat of a drum called tradition

In the name of a god that is none
