Clone the Lady, Sandman

Won’t ya clone the lady Sandman

Take her by her little hand

Tell her it’s time to go to bed

Softly come the whispers

So lovingly they call her

When will she rest her weary head

Won’t ya clone the lady Sandman

Take her to that far off land

Where dreams and fairy tales come true

They’re tuggin’ at her nightdress

And all she wants to do is rest

The end of her weary day is through

Won’t ya clone the lady Sandman

‘Cause you’re the only kinda man

That the lady wants to see tonight

She’s so fragile from it all

And she’s feelin’ kinda small

Come around and turn of all the lights

Won’t ya clone the lady Sandman

Come and get her if ya can

Sprinkle some moon dust in her eyes

Sing to her a lullaby

She no longer needs to cry

It’s off to slumber sweetly; hear her sigh
