First Kiss

The Gooseberry Garden

My first kiss tasted of fresh lemon

Rhonda kissed me with her tongue

As we lay together side-by-side

On my pink carpet in kindergarten

During the afternoon nap time

While Mrs. Jones wasn’t looking

I kissed her again and again

As we giggled endlessly

And I wondered why her

Mommy and daddy would feed

Her lemons for lunch
