I am a Bubble

I am squishy liquid goo that splatters in your eye

But so much fun to dip into then chase into the sky

See a rainbow swirl around the circles that you blow

If you look deep inside of me you’ll see the things you know

Doggies like to run and jump and bite to make me pop

And little boys with pokey pins will make me go kerplop

Moms and Dads will polka dance as many of us try

To fly about from a big spout as they go dancing by

Little girls with pretty curls squeal with such delight

To see the pretty bubbles bouncing up in magic flight

Babies wiggling in the bath will giggle and they’ll coo

When bubbles tickle tiny toes the way that bubbles do

I may not stay for very long when I come out to play

Because I snap and then I pop and then I go away

But you can bring me back to you anytime you wish

By getting out your favorite wand and soapy bubble dish

  1. Too cute!! I have this image of my childhood and those homemade bubbles. Couldn’t afford the store boughten kind, lol! Mom made our own playdough too. Peace and love, Terri

  2. So great that you can tie the images together. (I’m always wanting to do that but don’t get it toeether to try.) The poem is really a little children’s book.

    • I really think it would make a great book. I have an idea to put together a children’s book and I have a very worthy cause for the proceeds. I need a publisher.
