Don’t Deceive Me

Don’t deceive me; never leave me all alone without your love

Bring the comfort that I feel when it’s me you’re thinking of

As you wait in quiet moments when the lonely’s closing in

If you feel like letting go, my love will bring you back again

My arms hold you, my sweet baby, in the darkness of the night

Fingers touch you, oh so gently, making everything alright

Tender kisses on your forehead, as I brush away your pain

No, my darling, I won’t leave you; I’ll keep coming back again

In the morning when you wake, sun’s rays dancing on the wall

Silhouettes of last night’s meeting left the imprint you recall

As you lie there bathed in fragrance holding tight to memory

I surround you with my essence as you’re looking up at me

My eyes tell you that I need you and I’m aching for your love

Bring the comfort that I feel when it’s me you’re thinking of
