A Gift

Tucked away is a little rose

In the garden of His heart

Precious love for the gentle bud

That is softly set apart

Plucked as he lay sleeping

So quickly from the weeping

Arms that held him tender

As shattered lives surrender

The blossom of their seed

As a gift to greater need

  1. That’s a tough one. 😦 Only with an eye on the eternal can anyone truly recover from such a loss. I am reminded of a passage in I Kings 14, where the son of a king was sick and then died. “And all Israel shall mourn for him and bury him; for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, ****because in him there is found something pleasing to the Lord, the God of Israel*****.” (v.13).

  2. So sweet, touching and beautiful Kay! My heart goes out to whoever it was that lost their son. May God be with them.

  3. precious.

    Happy Thursday.
