He is Risen
After the Sabbath
As the sun rose in the east
Mary Magdalene
And the other Mary went
To see the tomb of Jesus
Keepers of the tomb
Stood in trepidation
As the earth trembled
An immense stone was removed
By an angel of the Lord
With raiment as snow
And countenance as lightning
The angel conveyed
Today the Lord has risen
Come see the place where he lay
The women were told
To go tell his disciples
He has conquered death
So they ran to Galilee
Jesus met them on their way
In adoration
The women embraced his feet
Then the eleven
Met him on the mountaintop
Some worshiped and some doubted
Jesus came to them
Saying all authority
In heaven and earth
Has been given unto me
Make disciples of nations
By baptizing them
In the name of the Father
The name of the Son
And of the Holy Spirit
Teach them to obey my will
Surely I will be
With you even to the end
