Beyond Our Reach

In this journey of love

You and I have shared pain

Disappointment and sorrow

Time and again

Still we hold on

With all of our might

For a moment of bliss

In the still of the night

When two hearts collide

In the silence they shudder

As breath is held tight

They beat for each other

Sparkles from eyes

That beam radiantly

Hold back the tears

From longing to be

Joined as we’ve wished

In dreams for so long

For our love is so special

And our journey too long

That it breaks our hearts

To think of the years

That we’ve had to struggle

With these missing you tears

So we walk away

With a kiss and a smile

Braving alone

The impossible miles
