Stay

See what you have done? Within that small child, dwells the hope of mankind!

She descends from heaven’s door to float in a womb of serenity

The suckling’s tiny hands grasp fingers in silent reverence

Wide eyed and wondering, she listens for that one familiar voice

That can soothe her tiny spirit, the voice that will whisper, “Stay”

She ascends to heaven’s door to float in a sky of serenity

The newborn’s tiny hands reach out in silent reverence

Wide eyed and wondering, she listens for that one familiar voice

That can soothe her tiny spirit, the voice that will whisper, “Stay”
