My Blanket is the Sea

I lie down in the sand

My blanket is the sea

Waiting on the shore

For you to rescue me

I hear you softly calling

From somewhere out in time

Across the vast horizon

Your hand reaches for mine

With eyes that cry intensely

For me to come and stay

With you beside these waters

Forever and a day
