The Renaissance Man – a story in 100 words

“All sects are different, because they come from men; morality is everywhere the same, because it comes from God.” -Voltaire

Now it is high time for change as I peruse this land

With forethought to eliminate the things I understand

To be the cause that separates mankind from one another

Destroying ties that bind a sister from her brother

As I look down I recognize religions built with hands

Have lifted up great barriers that prevent each man

From crossing roads of freedom to love another soul

Religion set a border line and this is not love’s goal

As I look up I realize that the author of our love

Had set no limitations on this gift from up above
