Incantations

A cloud of gloom

Has swept the earth

Turning daylight

To gray

We submit to emerge

For those who chant

In veils of sorrow

Before crumbling sepulchers

Tossing pieces of bone

Against walls of tears

Attempting to awaken

Those who slumber

In seclusion

We stir

Far beneath

The blood stained clay

Moving slowly

To the steady beat

Of pounding fists

Their incantations

Our zeal
