In Your Silence

So replete by your silence

Do you whisper my name

As you sit in the stillness

You so long to maintain

Are there echoes in the moonlight

Of the love that we’ve made

Do your arms long to hold me

As those memories fade

When you rise in the morning

With the breath of the dawn

As the sky paints a picture

Of the cloud I float on

Does your hand softly tremble

As it reaches for me

Do you stare at the pillow

Where my face used to be

Do your hands touch the body

That my fingers have touched

With their gentle persuasion

To love you very much

I gave you all I had

Could you feel it my dear

In the whispers of passion

Can you feel it right here

As you hear my voice calling

Oh my love come to me

Why sit there in your silence

Share the stillness with me

In the dark of the moonlight

‘Til the breath of the dawn

We’ll embrace every pleasure

Lovers share so hold on

To my breathless implication

That resides in your soul

For I dwell in your memory

And it’s so beautiful

As you sit in the stillness

With the breath of the dawn

As the sky paints a picture

See my face and hold on

To our love and surrender

In this moment in time

For you see there’s no other

Love like your love and mine
