All the Prisms

Alone in the shadows

Emptiness grabs me

With fingers of solitude

Gripping my chest

As I blankly stare

So vacant and lost

Without you beside me

Your words of love

Echo from the void

Reminding me of yesterday

And all the prisms that bounced

Along the snowy white walls

Of the room we once shared

Where yellow sunshine

Dripped from the sill

Casting beams of sparkle

That danced upon the

Lazy afternoons of

You and me

I write about the greatest force on earth that, I believe, lives on forever and surpasses all else. "All your poems read like I am watching an artist use words instead of colours full of feeling." ~Anon.
