Drenching in the Dew

You took me like a lover

Intense and free from care

Holding on as if I might

Evaporate right there

Inside the steamy fervor

Of each fanatic kiss

One after another

You just could not resist

The frenzy of our union

On that delightful night

As you released your longing

And pent up appetite

For all the secret places

That you have ached to be

Traversing through in silence

Upon your bed with me

Breath held tight, a shudder

Escaped within the dark

As fingers traced the surface

And hunger left its mark

The rise and fall of bodies

Began each tiny death

We flew on wings to ecstasy

Then fell to catch our breath

Within a private garden

Drenching in the dew

Covered by your precious love

On the night of me and you
