Rite of Passage

She snuffed the sparkling sequined sky

And turned the moon to blood the night

She melted into obsidian

Deeply sleeping in the glass

Waiting for the time to pass

When fate would prompt the chosen few

To call upon the name they knew

And lead them to their end
