Can you give me something

To take away this pain

I’m so sick of struggling

With this poison in my veins

Spitting wrong conclusions

With clarity right here

On the tip of my tongue

And I so want to share

While I’m feeling numb

It’s easier

It’s so much easier

I didn’t mean to cry

I didn’t mean to raise my voice

I know I promised I would try

But I didn’t have a choice

The pain subdued

My body and my mind

I was so rude

It seemed easier to be unkind

Oh, so much easier
