Where are You, Compassion?

 for Preeth

Where are you Compassion

Do you walk along the eightfold path

Leading to cessation of the suffering

Or are you concealed amidst the shadows

Lost in your indifference

With a candle that’s been captured by the wind

Can you not find your way

To ease a heavy burden

For hands too frail to carry theirs today
