Sacred Secrets

Sacred Secrets
I feel the ancient mystics
Walking through my soul
Chanting hallowed secrets
That are so beautiful
The fragrance of the petals
Their footprints leave behind
Is sweet like morning roses
With dew inside my mind
As I inhale their whispers
I scarce can comprehend
The fullness of the offerings
Humbly left by them
I feel an inward fervor
Rushing through my veins
As if there is a fountain
That I cannot contain
Bringing me to tears
Flowing with emotion
For all the many years
Of tender hearts’ devotion
Standing at the core
Of my very being
And in that radiant light
Love is what I’m seeing
