Inspiration’s Pen

The pen of inspiration is a fervent whispered prayer

Offered in surrender from a soul that’s filled with care

Burdened by a world of hurt, this heart that’s torn in two

Lends soothing  affirmation as a balm for me and you

Sweet breaths of inspiration come floating on the air

With effervescent urgency as spectral powers share

Illuminating visions where pure healing waters flow

As one sits in the stillness, they inhale, and somehow know

The secrets of the sages that still walk along the shore

Chanting perfect knowledge, as each one hungers for more

Searching for the answers to the questions in their mind

In suspense that quiet truth will be the reasoning they find
