Just an Illusion

Just an Illusion
Here you are
Gazing up at me
And one last time
I say goodbye
To my reality
As I let go
Of all that used to be
Watching you sink
Beneath the pool of tears
That you and I have cried
Together all these years
Waiting for a ship
To sail the seven seas
But it seems our trip
Was just a fantasy
I’d take your hand
And drown along with you
But I realize that I don’t feel
The way I used to do

About Kay Salady

I write about the greatest force on earth that, I believe, lives on forever and surpasses all else. "All your poems read like I am watching an artist use words instead of colours full of feeling." ~Anon.
