Evil Eye

Evil Eye

I felt that old spirit

Slowly pass

Becoming sickened

By its presence

Cold, rotting evil

Smothered me

As it cut into my flesh

Leaving me to bleed

Hail Mary, graceful one

For but a moment

Spare your son

I am so forsaken

Trembling in my fear

Mercy’s water

Rain on me

Cover me with sanctity

That I be purified
