So smooth is your touch
As though you were
Softly caressing velvet
Or exquisite brocade
After the love we made
The candles still burning
Their sugary café
Iridescent shadows
Play along the walls
As my heart dances
In their flames
On a low burn
As tinkling chimes
Catch the breeze
That brings your scent
Infusing me
With exhilaration

I write about the greatest force on earth that, I believe, lives on forever and surpasses all else. "All your poems read like I am watching an artist use words instead of colours full of feeling." ~Anon.
