Hearts at Bay

Hearts at Bay

Ever blooming memories
Sail across the seven seas
Where chalices pour out a sky
Of forget-me-nots so wide and high
Where seasoned lovers make a wish
To revisit days when they were with
The friend of soul’s sweet inspiration
Dancing within their destination
Then tears were shed when they let go
The tender hands they’d come to know
For now they waltz along the beams
Of twilight’s soft and lingering dreams
Where inspiration comes to play
And to encourage hearts at bay
Who wait for tears to pass away
With a pocket filled with stars
