The Old has Departed

Newness of Life

The old has departed – the new came to be

From seedlings I’ve sewn on my way

Up the great mountain toward my victory

In a land that my elders portray

As flowing with honey and laden with love

No darkness can enter within

The magnificent garden that I’m dreaming of

Beseeching me to enter in

Whereby a mist of heavenly peace

Infuses my heart and my soul

Granting me pardon and sweet release

As I bow down before Wonderful

Surpassing that mountain of strife

I now walk in newness of life
