To Reacquaint with Folly

To Reacquaint with Folly

I listen to the silence
And it whispers to me
Torn from places long forgotten
Folded and neatly tucked away
From inside a yellowed volume
Of some where’s long ago
Vying for the daylight
And fruition of a dream
That did not choose to die
And somehow dwells in me
Perchance a kindred spirit
Wrestles with my soul
Yet all the while I listen
It feels so wonderful
That I might share the folly
Within my lunacy
Yet if it be for folly
I reacquaint with thee
