My Sustenance

My Sustenance

Be not afraid to walk this arid desert
As timeless sands sift ever slowly by
Through glass, holding our remembrance
Lifting our faces before the eastern sky
Too soon, it drowns within a raging sea
Far beyond the passion of our thirst
O’ do not fear to run and follow me
As starlight gathers in luminescent burst
My arm is yours, so ready for your hand
As we travail to overcome our fear
We may not find that milk and honey land
But there is manna whenever you are near
Hush! I will pray to carry you and me
Along our pathway toward the Crystal Sea
My love, I’ll wait for you along its shore
To reunite in bliss when life is o’er
