Have you ever felt the tears
Well up inside your eyes
You thought they’d disappear
That none were left to cry
The pain inside your chest
Runs deep into your soul
Like an ash that falls on silk
It burns a painful hole
Nothing can contain
The emotions you once felt
It’s an empty forlorn place
Where so much love had dwelt
Now all you feel is numb
From pushing it away
Pretending it’s not real
And trying hard to say
That it was for the best
You did what you should do
Then an uninvited guest
Makes a fool of you
You let go of your pride
And writhe in agony
For love that somehow died
For all you wished could be
You thought that letting go
Was giving In return
You wind up feeling hollow
And end up getting burned

I write about the greatest force on earth that, I believe, lives on forever and surpasses all else. "All your poems read like I am watching an artist use words instead of colours full of feeling." ~Anon.
