You, the Inferno

You, the Inferno

The quiet seeps into this hollow place

My longing has failed to uphold

Inducing abstraction, subduing my mind

With ambrosial lips that lure me to hunger

So enamored by the essence of desire

Achingly, I encircle your body

With voracity, beginning the dance

Rising and falling with avid turbulence

Stirring the tempo of our fusion

As breath-to-breath, we echo thunder

You, the inferno, have ignited a flame

Burning blue at the apex of wanting
