Drops of Honey

Drops of Honey

Recall the days when thoughts of me
Rendered drops of honey exclusively
The amber sweet from inward pain
You tightly clenched time and again
When haunting eyes struck symphonies
The music brought you to your knees
With loss of breath and clouded mind
You reached out for this hand of mine
And drew me to your wounded soul
Inhaling all that’s beautiful
