Vacillating Heart

Vacillating Heart

She waits in quiet corners
Dangling from each word
That rises from the lips
A lady fears to touch
Then softly, she falls
Into the vacant shadows
Where her vacillating heart
Settles to contemplate
The reason for her thirst
She sighs in adulation
As salty tears abase
The one who should not care
