Defaced

Defaced

An unfamiliar someone

Sits inside the dark

Weeping in disgrace

For I have been defaced

I somehow missed my mark

Grieving for what used to be

Trying to make sense of me

And all the broken pieces

That crumble to the floor

Lost inside the corners

Never fitting anymore

And so I take my pen

To connect each tiny dot

Searching for the reason

My significance was lost

Hidden in the jagged lines

That I, somehow, woke up to find

All the precious slots of time

Recall has erased

Yes, I have been defaced

By an unrelenting hand

That came along and took

My life away

Dear Kay. I have sent you a request. I had to create a new act due to somebody accessing my old one. The 100 words group died a quick death after a few postings. Ill recreate it if there are any takers. have a great day. hugs Anders.
