What Passion is This

What Passion is This

What passion is this –

That houses the starlings

Aloft, safe and sound

Or adorns the fall maples

In ruby red gowns

That ripens the berry

To burst on the vine

And awakens my heart

As your eyes meet mine

What passion is this

That draws heaven’s shades

Of rapturous violet

At the end of the day

With faint hints of rose

As the bright evening star

Beckons each wish

To be where you are

What passion is this

That answers my prayer

With the ultimate hope

That I’d find you there

With arms open wide

To offer your love

What passion is this

I’ve been dreaming of
