Incredulous

IncredulousAppealing to her senses, he knows just what to say

That touch of innuendo leads a good, long way

As a curled finger beckons her to realms of unknown bliss

Trapped inside the magic of his eyes and perfect lips

She never saw the vial that he held with steady hands

Pouring drops of poison as she met with his demands

While sweetening with honey the elixer in her tea

Day by day he took away the girl she used to be

So cunning is the Hunter, thrilled by his pursuit

Fed by his adrenaline, clinging to the truth

That love is not an option in the spectrum of his game

He wants to own her loyalty and drive the girl insane

Frozen in the spotlight, she can’t escape his gaze

As she rounds the final corner of the maze within a maze
