Malicious Intent

Malicious Intent

The day will come

When your attention fades

And I no longer pay compliments

Correspondence will end

And the promise to be friends

Will long be forgotten

The pictures will yellow

Yet recollections

Of our lovemaking

Will endure

Casting sparks in the dark

On cold and lonely nights

Seeping the ache of wanting

If only

You had your senses

About you

When given the opportunity

To stay
