Miasma

fog

He has come to kiss the earth
With a sparkling haze so fine
Containing crystals on his breath
That melt as I inhale mine
Ambiguous is my vision
Obscured by hoary mist
I’m torn between suppression
And elation I can’t resist
Upon the edge of shadows
He casts an evocative spell
That sends the soul to heaven
Or plunges it to hell

  1. My city was covered in fog this evening. While driving home from dinner with my daughter, we were talking about one’s mindset during a thick foggy evening. So, I decided to write about the fog. I really like the way this one panned out. Hope you enjoy.
