I Seek Revenge

oh for twilight to drip slowly down these walls

with you inside my room, i desperately hold on

to every stolen moment as i inhale your breath

when we make love, i seek revenge for my defeat o’er death

all the while, i taste of you, my bittersweet desire

weaving golden tapestries we throw into the fire

each time i leave the scent of rose upon our lover’s bed

i hold onto the memory of everything i’ve said

when passion played out promises i never could fulfill

i loved you for those moments i held against your will

to seek revenge for my defeat, for every stolen breath

i love you now, my darling, i’ll love you ’til my death
