Indiscretion

Indiscretion
Have I lost you
inside this purple haze
and did my indiscretion
give rise to your disdain
as I shudder
with my optimism gone
The slice of silver lining
I had relied upon
is hidden in the shadow
of your disparagement
I nestle at your feet
for some encouragement
to sustain a tiny portion
of all that used to be
For I could never fathom
you not including me
in your life
