Don’t Fall

Don't Fall

Don’t fall in love with me
You and I can never be
More than you think we should
‘Cause I know we never could
My lips still call the name
That keeps running through my veins
I know I come to you
To ease my pain; that’s true
But, sweetie, you’ve got to see
That I’m just your fantasy
I’m still in love with him
And I’ll let him in again
Then you’d be in agony
For thinking I’d set him free
There’s no room inside my heart
And I’d tear your world apart
For thinking I’d let you in
A space that’s reserved for him
So, don’t fall in love with me
Our friendship can never be
More than it is right now
No more than my heart allows
