I Walk Among Others

I Walk Among Others

I struggle for breath
No need to find meaning
For each ample hour
Is precious and few
Leaning on merit
Of a notable hand
I walk among others
Who too understand
And have witnessed decline
Of momentous mountains
Where imprints were made
By such beautiful feet
Marching with valor
In the great glory days
On a road they called Freedom
That leads to our peace
