Sit and be Civil

Civility

Civility’s an impossibility
When I attempt to talk with you
My stomach roils
Then my blood boils
And I don’t know what to do
Should I hold my tongue
And play deaf and dumb
While you sit and have your say
I want the peace
I desperately need
But you take it all away

About Kay Salady

I write about the greatest force on earth that, I believe, lives on forever and surpasses all else. "All your poems read like I am watching an artist use words instead of colours full of feeling." ~Anon.
