Desperate

Desperate

Along the road of my desire

Frozen deer-like in your gaze

I shudder with anticipation

As thoughts of you set me ablaze

I’m driven by an inner hunger

And tempted with beauty that feeds

All that I have ever wondered

My burning flesh could ever need

Yet I suffer in my weakness

And I may lose my only chance

To let you know how much I want you

For I am lost inside a trance

About Kay Salady

I write about the greatest force on earth that, I believe, lives on forever and surpasses all else. "All your poems read like I am watching an artist use words instead of colours full of feeling." ~Anon.
