Fractured

Fractured

My psyche splintered
the fragments fly about
the depression in the
center of my soul
I wait in trepidation
for the pieces to return
incapable of touching
my incentive
Confusion has a finger
on the undulating ground
that ties me insecurely
to this chair
Secret and selective
with every move I make
I creep into the corners
of my mind
Searching for some
semblance
of who I used to be
with heavy heart
I fall into despair

About Kay Salady

I write about the greatest force on earth that, I believe, lives on forever and surpasses all else. "All your poems read like I am watching an artist use words instead of colours full of feeling." ~Anon.
