My Familiar

Outside myself

So uncentered

Far away

I have ventured

Looking in

A broken mirror

At an image

So unclear

Where are you

My familiar

The audible distance

Feels peculiar

I feigned disdain

At such a cost

Now I am maimed

And you are lost

About Kay Salady

I write about the greatest force on earth that, I believe, lives on forever and surpasses all else. "All your poems read like I am watching an artist use words instead of colours full of feeling." ~Anon.
