Sweet Bliss

I bathe myself in her silken blush

And fully immerse within the hush

As sunlight kisses that fragrant swirl

Of delicate petals in a world

Where pure perfection brings sweet bliss

My pounding heart cannot resist

To burst with passion for this rose

Who in her beauty dares to pose for me

So Obscure

Author, Kay Salady

Though you reach out in the middle of the night

Your hungry hands will never touch this aching flesh

And I feel certain that your heart is far too small

To compete with the extent of all my longing

This is a dam between waters that are surging

Oh how I struggle with myself to reconcile!

I find my warmth in the reassuring distance

That veils my sadness from another so obscure

There, I Must Be

I felt the fragrance of his kiss

Falling softly on my lips

And the scintillating touch

That he has stolen in the hush

Of sweet surrender

Such a thrill if leaves behind

In the corners of my mind

And when in quiet contemplation

I can feel that sweet sensation

return to me

It’s then I see my lover’s eyes

And it becomes my paradise

Then all I know is where he goes

There I must be

On a Day that was Forbidden

On a day in September

I was consumed

By desire

And profound indiscretion

Clouds moved in

To confound my thoughts

With unrestrained passion

And I danced with a prince

In a mist of purple rain

The scent lingers in my mind

As I cling to a memory

That I fear to unearth

From the unmarked grave

Of an unholy union

That once felt so sacred

I cried out his name

From the depths of my soul

He was so beautiful

And so was I

On that day oh so

You are

The refreshing rain

To my unquenchable thirst

And the lotus that blooms

In my desert

You are the heart that beats

Inside my chest

So that I

Can always feel you

With every breath

And every flutter

Of contemplation

A sudden rush

Pulses through my veins

And I wonder

Does my quickening heart

Cause you to shudder

Make you feel warm

Or capture your breath

The instant that I

Contemplate you

Fulfilling Fantasies

Seductive and alluring

Altogether fine

A perfect combination

Of body heart and mind

In this quiet moment

You’re here for only me

Sensitive and sensual

Fulfilling fantasies

Fearless of my passion

Aching for my touch

Intoxicating both of us

With a red hot rush

A Moment in Time

I open my eyes

And you seep into my mind

The essence lingers

Recreating a moment

That I never will forget

I slowly begin

To ease you back inside me

Igniting a spark

That becomes a raging fire

Like the love that we two made

A Good Man

When I think about the price I pay

For digging up my yesterdays

They’ve made me push the love away

From such a good man

Broken promises inside the dark

And filthy hands have left a mark

That will never fade away

I could let it go today

With hands that are a healing balm

That caress me down, make me calm

Hands that plan to do no harm

Are yours the hands

Of a good man

A righteous man who loves the Lord

Would do no harm; he can’t afford

The price he’d have to pay

I need a man who feels this way

So, before you hold me in the night

Convince me I won’t be alright

With the price I’d have to pay

If I push the love away

From a good man

I Don’t

I was so into

The very idea of you

And just for awhile

That crooked little smile

Enveloped me completely

Holding me so sweetly

In the rapture of it all

How love did sweetly call

Until I heard the ring

Of the finite little things

Attached to its accord

And then I cried dear lord

It’s all too much

Too great a price too pay

For feeling feelings in a way

That never seem to last

Becoming buried in the past

Then strung high into the wind

No I’d rather call you friend

And save my soul

Tea & Sympathy

He laid his weary head

Upon my broken heart

Then he began to cry

And I felt compelled

To hold him close to me

Longing for that smile

That is so endearing

The one that brought

Him near me after all
