My Love
My love walks in light
And I walk in the darkness
To foreshadow thought
That I will be blossoming
Soon after his arrival

Fathomless
Words cannot express
The yearning of a spirit
Drowning in the depths
Of a heart’s deepest sorrow
No never can you fathom

Now That You’re Gone
One last time I flail away
For fragments of my heart
Trying to inhale the wind
From storm clouds you impart
You are an old photograph
That I haphazardly place
Into a brand-new frame
That doesn’t fit your face
All of the king’s horses
And all the queen’s men
Will never put anything
Back together again
Now that you’re gone
I’m surprised that I feel
Such horrendous pain
That is incredibly real
It has woken me up
From a counterfeit dream
Self-inflicted it seems
And it seems so insane
After all your neglect
And your inadequacy
I still carry your love
Somewhere inside me
That is deeper than death
And far past the grave
It appears I’m a fool
That no man can save

I Go Insane
My thoughts of you run like the rain
Yet I can’t quench the fiery pain
That sears into my heart and mind
That I will one day wake to find you’ve gone
So I sit here and go insane
At the thought of losing you again
Just when we chose to stay together
I try to push these thoughts away
And focus on the fact that today
You are here and that you’ll stay forever
But I have lost you once before
And the pain from that is so much more
Than I can stand to bear
And I wonder if you care
Half as much as me and if possibly
The crack inside our dam could break
From the impact of my mistake
But it’s a chance we chose to take
For all the love that we both make
But things will never be the same
And that is why I go insane

Resistance
I am so sorry
For having made you a fool
But then so am I
To sit and dream of a love
That should have been surrendered
©Kay Salady
My Love,
Set free your desire
That I may taste of passion
Give in to me now
Before you lose this moment
By surrendering to fear

Anne
The lace of our dear Queen
Buds in a field of green
Amid the slender blade
And newborn clover
Her center tinged in hue
Of lavender with dew
Is frequented by those who sip
Her nectar

Ever After
Happily
Love triumphs
At the end
Of the tale

Each Tiny Hand
Across the land
And seven seas
Each tiny hand
Pleads urgently
Deep within wombs
Upon Mother Earth
Longing for passage
And freedom of birth
With provision for mind
And food for the soul
Hoping each day
To be beautiful
Filled with compassion
Nurturing Mothers
The love of a Father
Sisters and Brothers
The right to be free
To sing their own song
Wherever they wander
Is where they belong
For each tiny hand
Is your child and mine
Heir of a kingdom
That is so divine
Its ruler is Love
Why eyes do not see
That each little child
Becomes you and me
